Hi! I’m Julie Fortner, a travel wedding and portrait photographer based in beautiful Waterford, MI — but always ready to follow your love story wherever it takes me!

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT JULIE: 

I’m Pure Michigan born and bred. I share life’s adventures with my incredible husband and best friend, John. He’s the one who blessed me with my amazing bonus kids — Mikayla, Taylor, and Preston — and yes, I’m a Grandma too! Sweet Grace made me a proud Grandma, and my heart just about bursts every time I say it.

Our family wouldn’t be complete without our fur babies — Bentley, our spunky dachshund, and Lexus, our loyal Alapaha Bulldog. They keep life interesting and full of laughs!

Before I picked up my camera, music had my heart. I played flute all through school — my first true therapy session (yep, band nerd and proud!). I’ve always been the funny one, the rule-follower, the “mom” of the group — and I think my family would say I’m making them proud by chasing a career I truly love.

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m all about good vibes and genuine laughs. My goal is to make your session completely stress-free and actually fun. Whether we’re dancing in a field, exploring the city, or chasing golden hour, you’ll feel comfortable, celebrated, and seen.
